Nakatani RIES 2016 Japanese Fellows Present Research Posters at the RCQM-Nakatani RIES Joint Poster Session
On Friday, September 16 our eight 2016 Nakatani RIES Japanese Fellows concluded their five-week research internship at Rice University with the presentation of a final research poster at the Joint RCQM – Nakatani RIES Poster Session.

More than 75 graduate and postdoctoral students and more than 50 undergraduate students participated in the Smalley-Curl Institute second annual Summer Research Colloquium Program Aug. 12 in Duncan Hall. The undergrads gave poster presentations in the early afternoon; the graduate and postdoctoral students gave oral presentations throughout the day and poster presentations late in the afternoon. This summer 14 U.S. undergraduate students, including three from Rice, did research in Japan, and eight Japanese undergraduate students came to Rice to do research. The exchange was made possible through the Nakatani RIES: Research and International Experiences for Students Program…. (read more).
